    Why Choose Kansas Pain Management?
    Evidence-Based Medicine

At Kansas Pain Management our goal is to evaluate and identify the factors causing the pain — and establish a protocol designed to avoid further chronic pain issues. We develop an individual, evidence-based treatment plan designed to return the patient to full functionality as soon as possible.

We offer a wide variety of treatments to alleviate pain:

    Worker's Comp Appointment Types:

New Consultation – new work comp patient must be referred by the insurance adjuster or attorney. This appointment includes patient exam & a review of the records. Will assume care as treating physician.

Independent Medical Examination (IME) – a report is generated after this consultation with the injured worker, & a review of the medical records. No patient-physician relationship established unless authorized.

Complex Consultation – injured worker is claiming multiple body parts. A report is generated after consultation, exam, & records are reviews.

2nd Opinion – a 2nd opinion report is generated after consultation, exam & record review.

Record Review – the patient is not seen in office. A report is generated after all records are reviewed. This will include a summary of the records, & opinion on treatment plan.

Disability Rating – for established work comp patients at the request of the insurance adjuster. Physician will exam, rate & generate a report for the disability %.

Deposition – Dr. Gupta is open to depositions at the request of the attorney.

    What is CRPS?

CRPS represents an abnormal response that magnifies the effects of an injury. Some people respond excessively to a trigger that causes no problem for other people, such as what is observed in people who have food allergies. Peripheral nerve abnormalities found in individuals with CRPS usually involve the small unmyelinated and thinly myelinated sensory nerve fibers (axons) that carry pain messages and signals to blood vessels. The Patient may not experience all symptoms

Please refer to the clinical guidelines we follow in order to diagnose CRPS:

    Lidocaine and Ketamine Infusion Therapy

    Why IV Therapy?

Lidocaine and Ketamine Infusion Therapy provides pain relief where other treatments often fail. Since 1999 there has been an escalating rise in the number of opioid prescriptions for chronic pain to include morphine, hydromorphone, fentanyl and oxycodone. Despite their frequent use, opioids are only partially effective for short term pain relief and have highly variable effectiveness for long term relief of pain. Lidocaine and Ketamine Infusions offer a safe, inexpensive, opioid-sparing and easily administered treatment with very few side effects.
